The local computer club, TUGNET, presents “Technology and Birds of the World”, a presentation by Mr. Dave Weeshoff. How can technology be of use to “bird watchers? Mr. Dave Weeshoff, a very active member of The Audubon Society, will open up this world. For instance, Cornell Lab scientists use the latest technology in the quest to understand the natural world. This work includes teasing evolutionary secrets from DNA, deciphering wildlife sounds, and discovering how birds, elephants, whales, and other animals survive and communicate in a changing world.
