We have hit Triage pretty had this year – so for the July & August meetings we will solely focus on performing Search & Rescue safely in a disaster scenario. (Depending on the # of participants, we may break off into 2 groups and add a ‘windshield assessment’ with a radio relay component.)

Please bring to the meeting:
·         Water
·         Walkie-Talkie Radio (if you have one)
·         Full PPE (helmet, goggles, dust mask, gloves (leather & medical), vest, working flashlight, closed toe shoes), if you have them*
 * If you are not CERT and do not have gear; you are still welcome to participate!
Just a note – it will enhance your experience if you take a moment to read through your CERT manuals for a “quick refresh” beforehand.  Or go to this link to the S&R section:
Some of you have asked for information for further training to get your Level 3 certification.  I am attaching 2 flyers for upcoming EMR classes.  You may recognize the Instructor names – both Erin Huey and Marlene Lugg will be teaching separate classes in the coming months.
And as always, in the last 5 minutes of the meeting – – if you have any non-CERT community news that you would like to announce, please feel free to do so.
Best,
/Christy
