Neighborhood Watch Meeting SLO Efren Corral

Good afternoon,

I hope all is well! I just wanted to send out a reminder that my neighborhood watch meeting is scheduled for Thursday June 14th, 2018 at 7:00 pm.  The meeting will be at The Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 17037 Plummer Street in Northridge. Please join me for a detailed crime update.

Summer is now upon us and historically during the summer months, crime tends to increase.  Our community has been experiencing a noticeable increase in auto thefts and burglary/thefts from motor vehicles. The crimes primarily involve cars parked on the street, in outside parking lots, underground parking garages, and in driveways. The crimes usually occur primarily during the late night and early morning hours. Toyota Camry’s, Honda Accord’s and all type of trucks are being targeted; however, other makes and models of vehicles are also being victimized. The best thing you can do is park your vehicle inside of your garage and then close and secure the garage entry doors.

While the Los Angeles Police Department is making every effort to combat this problem, since community awareness is the key to prevention, we need your assistance. Lock and secure your vehicles, and always set your alarm or use an anti-theft device, such as the CLUB.  Make it as difficult as possible for criminals to gain access to your property. Never leave valuables such as cell phones, laptop commuters, briefcases or backpacks in plain view. Report all unusual activity, to the police immediately. Please stay cool and be safe!!!
