Hello GLACVCD Partners,

National Mosquito Control Awareness Week is here! This annual observance in the United States aims to raise awareness about the importance of mosquito control and the prevention of mosquito-borne diseases. It typically occurs in mid to late June, coinciding with peak mosquito season in many parts of the country. The week is dedicated to educating the public about the risks associated with mosquitoes and the actions individuals can take to protect themselves and their communities.

The Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District (GLACVCD/District) joins other public health and vector control agencies across the country to commemorate National Mosquito Control Awareness Week, June 16-22.

We invite cities, community groups, residents, elected officials, and partners to participate in National Mosquito Control Awareness Week. Your active support and participation are essential in spreading this awareness to your community. We encourage our partners to collaborate with us in disseminating this vital message through various channels, such as social media, websites, and newsletters. Let’s team up to make our communities safer from these buzzing troublemakers!
