NAMM U Education Center, adjacent to a brand-new pro-audio exhibit space.
The four-day international symposium, which will be held concurrently with the 2018 NAMM Show from January 25-28 in Anaheim, CA, at the NAMM U Education Center, comprises a series of Training Academies and related sessions on line-array technologies, live-sound mixing consoles, wireless systems and studio environments, in addition to tutorials on system measurement and optimization, plus a selection of peer-reviewed technical papers. This inaugural education and training program is targeted at working professionals in the live-sound, recording and performance-audio communities. Learn From Some of the Leading Names in Pro Audio at AES@NAMM Main Stage Events
 
The AES@NAMM Pro Sound Symposium will bring expertise from some of the leading names in audio production during the Main Stage: Studio and Main Stage: Live events.
 
Hosted by producer/engineer/author Bobby Owsinski, Main Stage: Studio presentations will occur hourly all four days from industry experts such as Andrew Scheps, Sylvia Massy, Gavin Lurssen, Richard Chycki, Scott Gershin and many more. Topics include everything from Outside-the-Box recording techniques and Virtual Microphones to Alternative Studio Design and DIY Projects, and will also touch on variety of business, social media and creativity topics.
 
Main Stage: Live event sessions, hosted by FOH veteran Robert Scovill, focus on contemporary live sound system mixing and engineering, with sessions on console automation, Virtual Soundcheck, TV appearances. There will also be daily panels on popular live sound topics. Presenters will include Rat Sound founder Dave Rat, Sound Image president Dave Shadoan, ATK/Audiotek president Michael MacDonald, and several surprise guests. Pat Baltzell of Baltzell Audio Design, Coach Conner (FOH, Paul Simon) and Clair Global senior system engineer Howard Page (FOH, Sting)

AES@NAMM will offer four days of innovative live sound and studio production education and training NAMM show registrants. Line Array Loudspeaker System Academy Set for AES@NAMM

Leading line array manufacturers, including Adamson, Bose Professional, dB Technologies and EAW will each introduce and instruct Line Array Loudspeaker System Academy attendees on the operational details of their latest compact line-array offering. A 90-minute classroom session teaches the line array’s design, theory and supporting software components in a small class format. A second 90-minute hands-on practical session instructs mechanical assembly and electrical hook-up details for erecting an array from a portable line array tower, culminating in system proof and coverage confirmation with the use of pink noise and an evaluation track of music.

AES@NAMM to Host The Studios Academy at NAMM U Education Center

Learn more about key recording gear, including Studio Monitors, Interfaces, DAWs, Plug-ins and more. Attendees will experience unique benefits, applications and how such components interoperate with other leading studio systems. Attendees can choose from Studio A, Studio B and Studio C – each of which will feature various products from leading hardware manufacturers. Current supporters include Apogee, DAD (Digital Audio Denmark), DiGiGrid, Eventide, Focal, Genelec, Meyer Sound Laboratories and Waves Audio.
