Greetings to All:
 Our next book sale is scheduled for April 14th & 15th. Mark your calendar for these dates. On Saturday April 15th coinciding with the book sale, we will be celebrating 150 years of the Los Angeles Public Library hosted by the friends of the library. Come and join the celebration that will start at 12 noon in front of the main entrance to the library. More details to follow next week before the sale. 
Exciting news for those of you that are up to date on membership. You will be receiving our spring Newsletter in the next few days. It’s filled with details of new and resuming functions happening at the library, bookstore and book sales. Stay tune.

This is a reminder that we will be having our book sale this Friday and Saturday. On Friday morning the book sale will be for members only.
If you haven’t sent in your memberships yet, Annual renewal Memberships and new Memberships will be accepted at the door prior to the Friday pre-sale. A one-page form plus $5.00 per year (expires June 30th, 2023) will let in for this and upcoming pre-sales. Your membership will also include upcoming Friends of the Mid Valley Library Newsletters and Flyers of current library news and events. Don’t miss it!
IMPORTANT NOTE:  The Friday sale will begin at the newly established time, 10:00 A.M., and cash boxes will close promptly at 4:00 P.M. Please plan on having your books tallied up and paid for before 4:00pm.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
Saturday’s sale, open to the general public, will be from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Cash boxes will close promptly at 3:00 P.M. Please plan on having your books tallied up and paid for before 3:00pm.  NO EXCEPTIONS!
We will offer mass-market paperbacks (3 for $1.00 – inside room). There will be, as per usual, a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction books. Hardcover Non-fiction books are generally $1.00, with some exceptions.  NON-FICTION trade paperbacks: $1.00 cents.  Trade and Hardcover FICTION books will also be $01.00. Mass-market paperback classics also will be 3 for $1.00. We have a large selection of cookbooks; Also, there will be textbooks, reference books, many classics, and numerous teen and children’s books for 25 cents ea. There will be many “vintage” books as well (individually priced). Saturday we will also feature DVD’s, CD’s., audio books, VHS tapes, cassette tapes.
