Simper Gumby!  Always Flexible!

And just like a good CERT member –
the ability to be flexible in a disaster situation is crucial.

Instead of the Skywarn Lecture for the October meeting topic – –
we are doing a Medical Treatment Area review and mini-drill again!
 Woo Hoo!

Specifically, we will review CERT Triage and Disaster-scenario medical care – this is your chance to do it for the first time or do it all over again!.
If you are new to these meetings – note that this is a non-competitive,
learning environment.  Rusty skills are welcome!

Review topics include – Triage, Assessments and Re-Assessments
which help us properly determine patient priority – – meaning –
WHO is circling the drain & needs to be transported to the hospital first.

We will also discuss the ICS Chain of Command as it relates to the roles
of each positon in the Medical Group.

If you were at the September review & training
and have suggestions for this month –
send me an email.
I will probably have NEW victim cards for us to use.

~~~
While the air conditioning has worked for us so far –
there is a chance it may not be working on 25th –
so please bring water & dress accordingly.
PPE will not be required for this meeting- so feel free to leave PPE at home.
Future meeting dates and agendas:
November 15th – Domestic Terrorism lecture
(former CERT Captain, Stacy Gerlich)!!!!
You really don’t want to miss this – it is a fascinating insight
into what is happening in our homeland.
Best,
Christy Adair
CERT B10 Coordinator
