Come celebrate the grand opening of the SFVHS “Native American Indian Gallery,” a permanent exhibit recognizing the art and culture of the first peoples of North America, on Sunday, September 25 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at the Andrés Pico Adobe. This special event will include traditional storytelling, children’s games, hands-on crafts, jewelry, and information shared by local indigenous groups. The gallery features artwork and artifacts from the SFVHS’s unique donated collections, including arrowheads, bead jewelry, and other historical objects from many Native American tribes throughout the United States.
