Foothill Trails District Neighborhood Council
will host an Emergency Preparedness Awareness Fair
on Saturday, July 11, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Sharon Washington, Chair of their Public Safety Committee,
notes that “Lake View Terrace is in a unique situation
that could mean being landlocked after a large earthquake or fire
with few evacuation exits.
We are cradled against the hills by the 210 freeway.
If our overpasses and east exit bridge were to collapse,
no emergency or other vehicles could reach us,
and we couldn’t drive out.
Our only option would be our equestrian residents with horses
to carry needed supplies in and out of our area.”
If you would like to participate by hosting a table/booth
or by just helping out,
send an email to Sharon at email@example.com.
The Southern California Preparedness Foundation
will be hosting a Map Your Neighborhood table,
drop by and say hello
