The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment invites you to attend Empowering Communities: Understanding Neighborhood Councils’ Role in City Budget Advocacy, a virtual workshop on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 6:00-7:00pm. This interactive session will provide a detailed overview of the City’s budget process and delve into the opportunities for Neighborhood Councils to participate and make your voice heard throughout the budget cycle. Additionally, you will receive an introduction to the Neighborhood Council Budget Advocates and learn how to actively engage in the upcoming Budget Day on June 15th. This session aims to prepare you with the tools you need to advocate for the essential City services & programs your community needs.
