FREE CSUN-al Gardening Class: Cultivating Your Tool Sense
Saturday, June 1, 2019 9-11 a.m.
Steve Gerischer, Larkspur Garden Design
Having the right tool for the task improves efficiency and workflow, especially in the garden. However, the bewildering assortment of brands, models, and features can discourage the average consumer and lead to regrettable impulse purchases.
Some of the questions that will be answered during the class: Which garden tools are essential for the home gardener, and which are Steve’s favorites? Which are the most reliable brands of garden tools, and who sells them? What is the daily vs seasonal maintenance care for garden tools? Can a rusty pair of hand pruners be rehabbed and made serviceable again? (Steve will demonstrate the step-by-step process.)
If you have a garden tool which is unusual or you are unsure of its function, bring it to class for show and tell.
Come to this class so you can be the King (or Queen) of Spades in your garden.
Registration for the free class is required – email botanicgarden@csun.edu to request a space in the class and include your name and the number of seats you are requesting. Driving and parking instructions, as well as the class meeting location, will be sent upon registration.
