From Barbara Malin:

What a difference a year has made on Bircher Street in Granada Hills.
The notorious Hoarder house was sold and the homeless who camped there are gone, along with the mountains of trash they created.
The new owners, Mike, Luisa and their dog Winston have made substantial improvements to the property and continue to do so. Truly a blessing to have nice neighbors now.
As I walk around my block ~ Bircher to Gothic to Armstead, (a pie shape block) I notice there is much less trash than in past years. Maybe because I’ve gifted some with grabbers and gloves and they copy my effort? Maybe just because they’ve seen me picking up trash and decided they could do their part and keep their own area clean.
Whatever the reason I have to thank VCC for setting the standard and making it possible to keep our street, block, highway, freeway, parks, bike paths and roads in the Valley free of litter. And to the volunteers who are committed to making our community a better, cleaner, litter free place to live, thank you all.
