About this event

Roll up your sleeves, grab a shovel, and get ready to help us grow a greener, more sustainable and climate resilient Los Angeles!

Coucilmember Kevin de León, the Arts District Los Angeles Business Improvement District, Arts District Little Tokyo, LA Sanitation & Environment, City Plants, and LA Conservation Corps invite you to a community volunteer tree planting event and free shade and fruit tree adoption in the Arts District.

Volunteer registration will begin at 8:30 AM. Wear masks, close-toed shoes, sunscreen, and we recommend bringing a reusable water bottle, if possible. Lunch will be served for volunteers!

LA Conservation Corps will also be hosting a FREE tree adoption and distributing free fruit and shade trees to plant on private property for City of LA residents. Proof of residence within the City of LA will be required to take a tree home for planting. For City Plants adoption rules, please visit our website. Trees are 3 – 6 feet tall, come in a 5-gallon container, and must be planted in the ground.
