Committees
New People ~ New Ideas ~ New Beginnings
We welcome you to our website and hope you find it both informative and interesting. One of our most important missions is to get you, the resident/stakeholder, more involved with your community and the City of Los Angeles. We are working diligently to ensure that the community’s needs are met and that you have a voice in its evolution. We encourage your participation at our General Board Meetings, held every third Thursday of the month at New Horizons in North Hills. We frequently have guest speakers/presentations at our Board Meetings to inform our stakeholders of issues that affect them. These can include (but are certainly not limited to) – information from various City Departments, Land Use issues, Website development, upcoming Propositions, Neighborhood Watch, information on specific bills and ordinances making their way through City Hall, as well as presentations from representatives/assemblymen to provide information on what is “now and happening” in our district. We have several committees, and public members are welcome to attend. Our committees are:
We are confident that one of these committees will be your “nitch,” and we encourage you to attend any or all of them that pique your interest! Another purpose of the Neighborhood Council is to facilitate interaction between you (the stakeholder) and the City of Los Angeles. Many times, residents may feel far removed from the workings of the City government. This Council’s job is to assist you in getting the answers you seek and/or point you toward the specific department that can help answer your questions. If we do not have an answer for you immediately, rest assured we will find it and contact you with this vital information. In the coming months, we intend to broaden our goals for the betterment of our community and welcome your input and involvement. Together, we can make North Hills West the best community in the Valley. . . come join us at our next General Board Meeting and find out how! We want to hear your comments, concerns, ideas, and any suggestions you may have to improve the quality of life in our neighborhood. Thank you on behalf of our entire Council.
